Missions Overview
When I was thirteen years old, God called me to full time missions. Since then, I have been pursuing and fulfilling the call that the Lord has placed in my life serving wherever He leads. On this page you will find a quick overview list of all the mission work I have completed so far and how God has been working in my life and the lives of others.
Honduras Mission Trip Summer 2017
In the Summer of 2017 I went on my very first mission trip to Honduras with Teen Missions International. I traveled with the Teen Team and we did evangelistic ministry on the motorboat circuits and helped complete the construction of a new septic tank for the missions base in La Moskitia. God taught me a lot about teamwork and friendships that summer. I am so thankful for the experience and opportunity I had to learn and grow that summer!
Sojourner School of Ministry
2017-2019
After my Mission trip experience overseas, the Lord led me to continue pursuing missions. Beginning at the fall of 2017, I joined Teen Missions Sojourner School of Ministry in Merritt Island Florida. Here within this environment I gained more experience within missions by helping lead two summer mission trip teams in the states. I also built a stronger relationship with the Lord by studying the Bible and witnessing to those around me. This school gave me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of scripture and prepare for evangelizing in the future.
Honduras Internship 2021
After completing the two years of Bible School, the Lord placed on my heart to return to Honduras once again to continue mission work. In December 2020 I arrived in Honduras and worked with Teen Missions at their base in Santa Cruz. My time there lasted 9 months and has been the most memorable year of my life. I learned so much about what long term missions really looks like and how to adapt to another culture. God gave me so much opportunity to serve in different areas within the ministry utilizing each and every one of the talents he has equipped me with. The Lord's timing is so perfect and I am grateful for his blessings.
Honduras Mission Trip Spring 2022
After experiencing 9 months in Honduras, I went home for a short break and then organized to come back to Honduras for a short time. Through connections and an extended visa, I had the opportunity to serve at a an orphanage in Marcala, Honduras. During my time there, I helped teach English, cook for the orphans, and aided in the care of their coffee plantation and mini farm. The children were such a delight, and it was sad to say goodbye. I volunteered for a total of three months.
Teen Challenge
2022-2024
The Lord has brought me to an amazing ministry serving alongside Teens that are recovering from personal trauma, and finding healing and hope through Christ. As a residential counselor, I was in charge of facilitating activities in the afternoon and managing a group of the girls at at a time. Occasionally, I would also substitute teach for a class during school hours. I have been blessed with the opportunity to had ministered to these precious girls on a daily basis. I get to experience their happy moments, their sad moments, and their moments of breakthrough. Each day I remind them of the truths of scripture and walk alongside them as they discover what the Lord has instore for them. This ministry is not only life changing for them, but life changing for me as well.
Advanced Missions Training Summer 2024
For my first ever trip to Africa, I spent the summer in Zambia as a part of a missionary training program with Overland Missions. These three months were packed with practical skills as well as intense faith building exercises to prepare me for long term work overseas. I am so grateful for this season and now feel more equipped than ever to do whatever it takes for the gospel!
